A Botanist's Pride

Basil is pacing back and forth, clearly bothered by something. He explains that he has a published book about handling mushrooms. One of his readers didn't understand the guidebook text correctly, and inevitably ate a poisonous mushroom! The fellow then sent him an angry letter. Basil isn't sure how he should respond to the letter. What do you think?

Choice 1: Explain their mistake. (+20 FP with Basil)

Choice 2: Apologize to them. (-10 FP with Basil)

Basil wonders if he didn't explain it properly in his book and feels that maybe he has lost a bit of his confidence. He asks that you leave him alone for now.
