Camellia and Rebecca are at Olivia's tea booth in the plaza, where the girls are complementing Olivia on how delicious her tea is and she has a wonderful figure too! Rebecca is a little jealous.
Olivia complements Rebecca by telling her how glamorous she is! Rebecca is a little uncomfortable with the complement, but Olivia believes that Rebecca is just being modest. What does Camellia think? Camellia looks annoyed and says it isn't like she has anything to offer, in such a condescending way.
Both girls are startled by Camellia's comment. Rebecca explains to Olivia that Camellia gets upset when the topic is about her figure. Camellia finds Rebecca's comment rude; just because Rebecca is more voluptuous (i.e., bigger breasts) doesn't mean she can get arrogant about it. Rebecca accuses Camellia of starting it in the first place, but Camellia claims that Rebecca made it unpleasant with her boasting. It doesn't matter though, because in a few years Rebecca will be sagging all over the place! Oh yea? Well that won't happen because Rebecca takes care of herself.
Olivia seems to be caught in the middle of a sensitive issue. Rebecca may be "glamorous" but Camellia's slender body is also attractive. Olivia is worried that their argument will be heard by the other villagers and asks them to keep their voices down. The two women suddenly realize how obnoxious they are being and apologize to Olivia. Olivia tells them they must be close friends if they can quarrel like this.
Note: In the Japanese version, the argument begins after Olivia asks Camellia for her opinion about modesty, and Camellia responds by saying that Rebecca has a large rear-end and breasts. Rebecca then explains Camellia is sensitive about her chest-size because she has small breasts. After Camellia argues that Rebecca will be saggy in a few years, Rebecca counter-insults by claiming Camellia's breasts are small, shapeless, and won't mature. The event has clearly been toned down in the English version!
