There are 94 clothing outfits you can construct at the Tailor shop for your farmer to wear. To earn an outfit, you will need to bring a combination of ingredients to Yuri, pay a small fee, and in return she will give you a clothing outfit. Each clothing outfit can be purchased only once, and it will be stored in the Closet next to your bed inside of your farmhouse. Yuri will craft outfits for both gender of main character in her shop, so you can wear a suit if you're playing as a girl or a dress if you're playing as a boy.
The animal and crop ingredients Yuri requires will have a minimum Star Rank. She will not accept the ingredient for clothing crafting unless it is at the required Star Rank or higher. The raw materials must be in your rucksack and not in your farmhouse storage. The processed colored cloth does not have a Star Rank association.
New outfits will unlock at Yuri's shop as you proceed through the Town Restoration Plans, and raise friendships with the villagers. Yuri will send you a letter when she has new clothing options available.
You can change your clothes as many times as you want. Each of the marriage candidates have 10 outfits that he or she likes. You can earn an extra +100 FP each day with the bachelor or bachelorette if you wear the preferred outfit and then talk to him or her.
Ingredients
Some of the outfits require raw wool from your Sheep, Suffolk Sheep, Alpaca, Brown Alpaca, or Llama, but most of the outfits need processed yarn. You can make yarn by placing the animal fur into the Cloth Maker machine. The outfit will ask for specific animal products; you can't substitute Wool for Suffolk Wool.
Great quality wool is from keeping the animal at Neil's Animal Sanctuary for 50 hours or more. Once the animal begins producing Great products, it won't revert back to creating normal quality products.
Cotton Fabric and Linen are from growing Cotton and Flax on your farm, then processing the Raw Cotton into Cotton Fabric and Flax into Linen by using the Cloth Maker machine.
Colored fabric is from taking colored down feathers and placing them into the Cloth Maker. You can receive Green Down, Blue Down, Red Down, and Yellow Down by hitting the Elder Trees in the Forest area with your Hammer. You can also receive the green, blue, red, and yellow feathers by traveling to the Ancient Ruins. You can find Orange Down and Purple Down at the ruins but not at the Elder Tree trunks. The other option for colored downs is by exchanging items at Sandra's Item Exchange booth.
