XSeed Blog and State of the Farm | Posted at 12:47 PM 26 December 2014
Last week, XSeed Games posted on the company's Tumblr account their recent entry to their Story of Seasons localization blog. The company confirmed that the Angora Plushie given out as the pre-order bonus for the Japanese release of the game last February will also be available to North American pre-orders. The stores that are confirmed to offer the plushie bonus are Amazon.com, Gamestop, and EB Games Canada. For those of you curious about the size of the plushie, here is an image of it along with a 3DS and the Japanese cartridge for Story of Seasons. It is about the size of a tennis ball. The plushie was promoted as a charm that you can attach to your cellphone's audio port, where one would typically put a cellphone strap accessory, but it is a little too bulky for that! :) Since such things aren't common place in North America, I'd imagine that the attach strap may be omitted when the game finally hits retail stores. The blog entry also mentions the Zebu cow, Angora Goat, and various Safari animals like the penguins, Sifaka Lemurs (which are really just recolored monkey sprites), and parrots. The animals that live within the Safari can't venture out of the Safari, so you aren't going to find Polar Bears wandering around your barnyard. The wild animals work similar to their incarnations in A New Beginning and Tale of Two Towns, where befriending them will result in a small gift. In Story of Seasons, the gifting event from the wild animals only occurs once (at least in the JP version). You can read XSeed's latest blog entry here: This morning, Natsume posted their latest entry to their State of the Farm. Community Manager CeeCee noted that the download content for Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley is planned to start in January of 2015, then one in February and another in March. They can't reveal exactly what will be included yet, but CeeCee hints at getting Doc to construct the Dresser within your house, so we can guess it may have something to do with additional clothing outfits.
