Controls Main Menu Fishing Equipment

You can move your character around by using the directional buttons on the controller or the Left Analog Stick. When you cast your line out to fish, the direction can be adjusted by using the stick.

Start button and Select button
Pressing either one of these buttons will open up the Options menu. You can set the sound to play in Stereo (default) or Mono mode. This is also where you turn on the vibration function for your Playstation2 controller. By default the vibration is disabled. Enabling the vibration makes fishing easier!

X button
Use this to talk to people and select items from inventories. When you are fishing the X button will cast your line out, and when you have caught a fish the buttin will reel it in as you press the button down.

O button
Since walking is so slow, you can hold down the O button to make yourself run faster. If you had cast out your line and you want to bring it back, press the button and your line will instantly reel back in.

Δ button
Open up the Main Menu. Press it again to close the window.

Square button
When walking around you don't have any use for the square button, but if your fishing pole is out you can quickly reattach bait by pressing it. That way you don't have to stop fishing, open your Main Menu, attach the same bait, and then go back go fishing.

R1 button
You can zoom in and out of the map by pressing this button.

L1 button
Start fishing as soon as you press this button. It's a shortcut to the Fishing option inside of the Main Menu. Press it again to stop fishing.

The R2 button, Right Analog Stick, and L2 buttons on the controller are not used in this game.
