Rural OUtfitters
Close to the eastern entrance to Lulukoko is the Rural Outfitters animal shop. Tagosaku sells the Tsuyukusa-themed animals that Animal Instincts doesn't sell in Westown.
Buy Animals
When accessing his animal purchase inventory, you'll notice that each livestock and poultry animal has a Personality listed on its purchase screen, abbreviated as simply "Person." The animal's personality will give a bonus to help quickly increase a specific attribute the animal has:
- Active: +5 bonus to Byproduct Level
- Calm: +1 bonus to Size
- Cheerful: +1 bonus to Affection
- Gentle: +2 bonus to Coat
- Timid: +5 bonus to Byproduct Amount
It's the same for pet purchases. The pet's ability will define what chore the pet can help you with on your farm. The possible jobs are:
- Finding Fish: can fetch fish you could catch
- Finding Materials: can fetch branches, stone, etc.
- Finding Misc.: can fetch odd items items (fertilizer, Poison Mushroom, sea shells, etc.)
- Finding Ore: can fetch mineable ores and gems
- Finding Plants: can fetch wild plants and herbs
- Herding/Recovery: can herd animals in and out of their barns
The personality types assigned to each animal in Tagosaku's inventory is determined at the time you open his animal inventory screen. When trying to get an animal with a specific personality, look through his inventory and if the personality you want isn't on the animal you want to buy, simply close back out to his main menu and then enter the animal inventory again. This will reassign the personality options.
Tagosaku also helps with livestock animal breeding. You'll need to have Large Barns on your farm before you can have baby animals born on your farm. You don't need Tagosaku's help to breed poultry animals, as you just simply take the mother bird and place it in the Large Poultry Barn's nesting box.

Sell Animals
You can sell unwanted animals to Tagosaku. The price he pays varies on the animal's friendship and whether it is an adult or a child. At a minimum (i.e., an animal with zero Friendship Points, Byproduct Level E, and Coat rank E), Tagosaku will pay you:
- Baby quail: 350 G
- Baby chicken: 400 G
- Baby angora rabbit: 450 G
- Baby cow, baby sheep, or baby suffolk sheep: 500 G
- Baby silkie: 600 G
- Baby Gr. angora rabbit: 650 G
- Baby alpaca: 700 G
- Baby jersey: 800 G
- Baby br. alpaca: 900 G
- Adult quail: 1750 G
- Adult chicken: 2000 G
- Adult angora rabbit: 2250 G
- Adult Cow, sheep, or suffolk sheep: 2500 G
- Adult silkie chicken: 3000 G

- Adult alpaca: 3500 G
- Adult jersey: 4000 G
- Adult br. alpaca: 4500 G
- Adult llama: 5000 G
- Adult buffalo: 7500 G
Note that llama and buffalo cannot breed and produce baby animals to sell. You also get a little bit of friendship points at purchase, so unless you run to your farm and hit your new animal friend with a hammer a few times to drop its FP and then try to sell it, you will typically see higher sell prices that Tagosaku's minimum offered price.
Breed Animals
Instead of buying new animals, you can breed your adult livestock animals and rabbits to produce little clones of themselves by selecting this option at Tagosaku's shop. The baby animal will have half the number of hearts as its momma as well as the same personality type (e.g., Active, Gentle, etc.).
For breeding to take place you must have a free space in a barn for the baby animal. If all of your barn spaces are full, Tagosaku's breeding menu will still be selectable from the shop inventory, but all the animal names will be unselectable. You'll also need to have a "large" size barn with the momma animal inside of the large barn. These barns have spaces for pregnant animals to rest until the birth time.
To breed, select the menu option from the shop, select the animal name, and then let Tagosaku do his magic (however he does it). Tagosaku offers this service for free! Once you return to your farm you'll find the selected animal inside the pregnancy stall within the large barn.
The momma animal will give birth after sitting in the pregnancy stall for 21 days. During this time you can't feed or take her outside.
