Growing Trees

Trees are an easy type of crop to grow in Grand Bazaar. Before you can grow trees, you need to expand the bazaar to 25% expansion by earning at least 40,000 G during the bazaar. After that, Sherry will open up her Sherry's Seeds stand and sell tree seeds.

The nice thing about growing trees is that they do not require watering from you in order to grow. All you have to do is put the seeds on the ground and wait. The downside is that trees take up a lot of space in your field.

Sowing the Seeds

Planting a tree in your field

Each of your crop fields (outdoor and basement) are 6 squares by 9 squares, for a total of 54 squares of plantable soil. Each tree requires a 3 square by 3 square plot of land. So in total, you can have a maximum of 6 trees per field.

If you want to remove a tree, you can use your Axe to destroy it. Equip the axe and the ground around the tree (3x3 square) will highlite. Then just swing your axe to chop the tree. Fully matured chopped trees leave behind a stump you must chop again. Tree sprouts and tea trees are destroyed in one hit.

To plant a tree, till 9 squares of soil in a 3x3 shape and then equip the tree seed (press the right-shoulder button to find the tree seeds you purchased from Sherry). Once equipped, press the B button to plant the tree. The game will automatically highlight the soil to indicated how much space the tree will take up. If you haven't tilled a 3x3 square of land, the game won't let you toss the seeds. There's no way you can plant the trees too close together either.

Planting trees is pretty much foolproof!

You do not have to water you tree to make it grow. You can add fertilizer to it every day to increase the tree's star quality rank of its produced fruit.

Harvest Time

Time to harvest the trees

The trees will flower in the season they are going to produce fruit. After a few days, you can harvest the fruit from the tree. Trees will produce fruit every 2 days, 3 days, or 4 days, depending on the type of tree you've planted.

To pick the fruit, you can either:

The next day after you pick the fruit, the tree will flower again. Then you just have to wait for the few days for the fruit to appear and pick them again.

Trees will produce one, two, or three fruit per harvest. To maximize the chance of receiving 3 fruit per harvest, put fertilizer on the tree when it is flowering. The fertilizer won't increase the star rank of the fruit (as you did that while the tree was growing), but it will give you a better chance of collecting more than one fruit per harvest.

When the fruiting season is over, the tree will go back to its green foliage until the next year's harvest, except for Tea trees. Tea trees will produce Tea Leaves in Spring, Summer, and Fall! Tea trees do not flower because they're constantly producing leaves.
