Using Your Kitchen to Cook

You can cook some of your farm products and animal products into edible dishes by using you kitchen. When you first start out on the forgotten farm, your beginner-size house does not contain a place to cook food. You will need to upgrade your house to the Large House before you can do any cooking. The Large House also comes with a refrigerator and drawer to hold cooking ingredeints.

Once you have a kitchen you can buy recipes from Hanna's Restaurant. She will sell recipe sets that often contains more than one recipe. Hanna sells a limited number of recipes and after you buy them all she doesn't have any more for sale. There are a total of 54 recipes you can have in your kitchen.

To use the kitchen, walk up to it and tap on any part of the counter. You'll then select the recipe you want to cook up. The ingredients need to be in your bag (i.e., they can't be used directly from the refrigerator or drawer). Some of the recipes require very specific ingredients, while others will accept different kinds of ingredients.

Hanna will sell cooking staples such as Salt, Sugar, and flours. Since you can't process your grains into flour, you will need to buy them directly from her. Flour appears in her shop inventory as you increase your friendship with her.

Eating cooked food will restore your stamina hearts. The values listed in the below table are if you have max health (yellow happy face).

Blissful Bread is a cooked dish you receive as a reward for unlocking Emily's Food, Glorious Food memory. It isn't a bread you can make in your kitchen, and you can't ship it via your shipping bin. It also doesn't recovery any measurable stamina when you eat it.

If you plan on exploring the 100-floor mine, you'll want to bring food with you to eat. Ultimate Boiled Egg (3.5 hearts), Supreme Boiled Egg (4.5 hearts), Ultimate Fried Egg (4.5 hearts), and Supreme Fried Egg (5.5 hearts) are easy to cook and only require one ingredient.

Note that once you have a child, Hanna will sell Forumula Milk in her restaurant for 100 G each. You can then sell the Formula Milk to Sam or in your shipping bin for 400 G each.

After the 1.5 update to the game, new cooking recipes were added to the kitchen for the new types of animal products.
