Chapter Three v1.0

My Rants
So, what does terranecare mean? Find out in a Latin
Dictionary. I have a feeling Wertigon probably already
knows.
??? and ? are not the same people. I tell them apart by how many
? they have in their name.
Does my fanfic sound stupid? That's okay. I'm just
a newbie in the fanfic world, and this is my
"attempt". Remember, this is all opinion and
speculation, so this probably won't live up to
your standards of a "Terranigma Sequel". Enjoy!
(I just remembered...I said this was going to be THE chapter,
but it turns out that this is just a side story that helps out
the main story get rolling....Oh, and don't let the "side story"
remark get to you...)

Chapter Three: Human Winds
***
So cold...
Elle: Brrr....I never knew the ocean winds were so cold!
A ship was on its way toward Freedom, while the ocean
winds picked up more speed.
Meilin: You weakling. A true heroine wouldn't be so upset
of such warm winds.
Elle: Are you out of your FREAKIN mind? It's freakin cold!
Meilin snickered.
Meilin: Whatever. The elder isn't cold, and I'm not either.
Perel too isn't-
Perel was grasping onto his little homebound quilt. It
kept almost no warmth as his body ached from bitter
cold.
Meilin: Well Perel was weak from the start.
A dangerous look came from the cold boy.
Elle: I went on this ship once before with Ark...It wasn't
this cold...
The captain came across the deck to have a word with Elle.
Captain: Ah, I remember you. You're the girl that ran off
while that spiky haired boy was still sleeping on this ship.
Memories...
Elle: How long before we land?
Captain: Maybe about a couple more hours. We've been on the sea
for an extremely long time. I'm just hoping this cold won't get
to the ship and slow us down...
Elle: Speaking of which, why is it so cold now? Isn't the atlantic
supposed to carry a warm breeze?
Captain: Times have changed. Ever since that huge serpent in the
water came around-
Elle: Serpent?
Captain: Yes. Rumor has it that it has a skin of ice and a breath
of the coldest breeze. If this happens to be true, I'm guessing
that the wind is being caused by this serpent.
Elle: Where did it come from?
Captain: From the North. It might have come from the North Pole
to be specific, but I don't know.
Elle: Oh well...
Kumari?: Good serpent...
Elle: Huh? Did you say something elder?
Kumari?: Hmm? Oh nothing.
Elle: Okay....It's getting dark. I'm going to head into the cabin.
Perel?
Perel ran across the deck to meet up with Elle.
Meilin: Even though the cold doesn't bother me, I'm craving for a
huge nap...
Meilin joined them in.
Perel: What about you Lord Kumari?
Kumari?: Oh, I'll go in later. Don't worry about me.
In this cold? He wants to stay out here?
Perel: Suit yourself...
They went into the cabin dorm and shut the door.
Captain: You should go in and get some rest elder. The cold winds
aren't going to help you any.
Kumari?: Don't mind me, i'll just stay out here.
The captain trailed into his navigation dorm. No one was to be
seen, since they all went in for the night.
Kumari?: Haha...
***
CRASH!
Elle: What the...
Meilin: What was that?
CRASH!
Perel: C'mon! Let's see what happened!
Kumari was still in bed.
Elle: C'mon elder! Don't you want to go outside?
Kumari?: No. I'll just stay here.
All three went out to investigate. They weren't the only ones
outside. Kumari flashed a grin as soon as they went out.
Elle: Captain! What happened?
Captain: The side of the ship has been cracked. We can repair the
damage, but the eerie thing about it is that there's nothing
out in sea that can ram into the ship!
Meilin: Hmm, that's odd. The wind just picked up a little.
Perel: Is it me, or does it seem colder...?
Elle: Wait a minute...the winds did get colder...
Ice flew out of the water and a tiny chunklet hit Meilin across
her side.
Elle: Meilin! Are you alright?
The water bubbled, and almost in a flash, it froze to ice. The ice
then started to crack, and a huge serpent broke out of it.
Captain: It's the Ice Drake!
Elle: The Ice Drake?
Captain: The serpent that I was talking about! Be on your feet!
The huge serpent's head swayed back, and faced toward Elle.
Captain: LOOK OUT!
The captain rushed at Elle and grabbed her while moving out of the
way. The serpent's mouth flared blue, and cold vapor came out of its
mouth. The part of the deck where Elle's body had been froze up.
Perel: Why did it just attack us all of a sudden?
With that, the serpent swayed his head again.
The flaring cold burst out again. Perel jumped out, but a bit late.
A layer of ice froze his left leg. Perel moaned out a cry of pain.
Elle: Perel!
As the serpent knew that its breath met its mark, the serpent reared
back and swayed toward Perel for a final kill.
Kumari?: Take this!
Kumari waved out a hand, and a black aura of lightning came out.
The serpent was shocked enormously, but the shock wasn't sufficient
enough to make a kill. After the wave, the serpent looked toward
Kumari, and wailed a moan.
Meilin ran toward Perel to inspect his leg.
Elle: That sounds like a whine...
Meilin: It sounds like when I hit my dog for discipline...Turbo
always makes a whine, sounding like it was betrayed...
The serpent wasn't finished though, and it rushed toward Perel and
Meilin. They had no chance of escape.
***
???: Elle...Awaken!
***
A shock rippled through the heroine. The next thing that happened seem
like a reaction almost all dependent on instinct...
Elle: TERRA STUN!
Elle jumped toward the beast and the hero spear glowed amazingly.
Perel: What the heck is that glow...?
At the same exact moment, Elle's spear met with the charging serpent's
head and a flash was seen, only to be gone in a second. A white
glow surrounded the Ice Drake, and it was completely paralyzed.
Meilin: Look at her eyes...they look merciless...
Elle landed on the opposite side of the deck, only to jump again
toward the serpent.
Elle: TERRA BREAK!
The hero spear went wild into a frenzy when Elle weilded it. All that
can be heard is were loud slashing noises.
Kumari?: ...
Meilin: I've never seen anything like it...
Elle landed to her original spot and never looked back. The Drake
roared a great sound of anguish, and its skin turned a marble gray.
It seemed frozen, but chunks of the stone skin broke and dissolved
into the air. It had been completly annihalated.
Elle: ...
Elle slowly closed her eyes and collapsed onto the deck.
Meilin: Elle!!
The named rippled through the air, but it grew faint in the ears
of the heroine.
***
Elle: ...ugh...
Her thoughts came back to her almost instantaneously.
Elle: The serpent!
Perel: It's gone.
Elle: How?
Perel looked at Elle in a strange and confused look.
Perel: What are you talking about? You killed it!
Elle: What...?
Perel: It was amazing. I never knew you can rip out attacks
like that! You shredded the drake up!
A strange pain came to Elle's head.
Elle: I don't remember...
Meilin: Don't worry. It's all over now.
Elle: ...Wait! Perel! Your leg!
Perel chuckled.
Perel: A little ice never hurt the world's wonder, Perel! Haha-OW!
Meilin punched the top of Perel's head.
Meilin: You freaking idiot! You know how much you worried me?
Perel: Owww...
Meilin: Don't worry Elle. You see, when his leg got hit by ice, it
was completely covered. Luckily, since his leg itself wasn't
completely frozen, the ice was easily broken off. It was a good
thing that the rest of his body pumped some blood into his leg, or
his skateboarding days would've been marked over...
Meilin frowned at Perel.
Perel: So, why is it that you worry of me so much?
Meilin: HMPH!
She quickly turned her face so she can hide her blush.
Elle: Meilin! I never knew...
Meilin turned red entirely.
Meilin: NOT A FREAKIN CHANCE! YOU MUST BE CRAZY TO THINK OF ME AND....
EWWW!
Her face grew hot and she ran out the door of the cabin. Elle gave
out a slightly painful laugh.
Perel: I'll go out to talk to her...and the captain.
Yomi zapped into the room.
Yomi: YOMI! .....Hey Elle? What's up?
Elle: What's up? That's a strange thing to say coming from an ancient,
flying, powderpuff...
Yomi: Okay then...What is happening?
Elle: I don't know...Perel said I killed an enormously huge drake...
but to tell you the truth, I don't remember anything about that little
battle...
Yomi floated next to Elle.
Yomi: I saw. In fact, in all my years of existance (which is a
VERY long time by the way), the only person next to you that
I've seen do that was Ark.
Elle sighed.
Elle: It seems that I'm a walking inheritance of Ark...Oh my dear
Ark...
Yomi patted Elle on the head (Don't ask me how...).
Yomi: Everyone misses Ark. Even I. But don't worry, his spirit is
always with you...And today, you proved that.
Elle gave a slight smile.
Elle: Oh Yomi...I miss Ark so much...
***
Captain: Land-ho! C'mon everyone! Set sail and get ready to land!
The sailors on the deck were buzzing around to work. The captain
turned toward Perel.
Captain: That little stunt yesterday delayed us a couple of hours,
but I'll have to thank Elle for getting rid of the drake.
Perel: Anything I can do?
Captain: Tell everyone to either get to work or get off the ship.
Meilin: We're finally here! Thank goodness!
Elle was still in bed. She looked up at the ceiling.
Elle: What will tommorow bring...?
A tear came out of her eye.
Elle: Ark...I'll wait for you...forever...
***
Awww. Whelp, wait for chapter four. Same thing-if you hate this
fanfic, thanks for reading anyway...
One more thing...what's weird is that I was listening to a titanic
remix while typing this up. I wonder where I got that last line...?
