Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation
East Meets West, Part 1

<Show opens in China, where an old man sits in front of a mirror and looks into it. A 
cloaked figure stands a ways from the old man>

Cloaked Figure: Master please, you haven't eaten or slept in days. I worry for your health. 
                Why won't you speak to me? What is this glass, why does it absorb you so? 
	        Have you stopped talking to me?
Old Man: Stopped talking to you? Nooo, MeiPeiChi you are like a daughter to me. This vidual 
         must be performed alone. The glass has become unstable... aaa... maybe I could 
         drink some tea.
MeiPeiChi: Yes Chung I, I'll prepare some immediatly.

<MeiPeiChi leaves to fetch Chung I's tea. Chung I returns to the mirror. Suddenly the face 
of a giant lizard emerges from the mirror, grins at Chung I, and then quickly returns into 
the mirror.>

Chung I: I fear the most ancient evil has awakened to destroy us all.

<Scene is New York, night time, where there are two shadows on a wall who seem to be arguing 
with each other.>

Shadow 1: Listen to me!
Shadow 2: Get out of my face man!
Shadow 1: Wrong dude, I will not get out of your face. You're wreakless, you're totally 
          irresonsible, you put everyone at risk!
Shadow 2: How I live my life is my own business!
Shadow 1: No, no! It's everybody's business. And that's the problem!
Shadow 2: Kiss my shell!
Shadow 1: I don't even know you anymore!
Shadow 2: Ninja Geek!

<Shadow 2 departs away from Shadow 1 and rides off on a motorcycle. Shadow 2 is actually a 
giant Turtle wearing a red bandana around his eyes named Raphael. He rides into an alley but 
is confronted by a group of men wearing ninja outfits (the Foot Clan). Raphael rides his 
motorcycle into a warehouse and lays his bike on the ground. The Foot follow him into the 
warehouse, ready for battle.>

Raphael: Au man, not again! Do the words "get a life" mean anything to you's loosers? Okay, 
         lets do it, but I'm telling ya; any of you's chumps put a scratch in my bike, 
         you're Footing the bill. Get it, Footing the bill?

<The Foot and Raphael start fighting in the warehouse. Scene changes to an old rat (Splinter) 
and an equally old man who happens to be blind (Andre) playing chess in the park.>

Splinter: Queens bishop pawn to bishop three.
Andre: Mercy! How'd you know I wanted your shabby old rook?
Splinter: How many times we play chess over the last two years?
Andre: oh..... couple of hundred...
Splinter: You want my rook!
Andre: And I'll get it too!

<Andre and Splinter start laughing, but suddenly Splinter senses Raphael is in trouble.>

Splinter: I must go.
Andre: We're the only ones out here Splint; use a bush!
Splinter: .. oh... yes, a wise suggestion. I will return.

<Splinter leaves his chess game with Andre and heads toward the warehouse. Scene changes to 
the interior of the Turtle's sewer lair. A Turtle wearing a blue face mask (Leonardo) is 
stacking up a group of cement blocks while a Turtle in an orange mask (Michaelangelo) watches 
him. There is a third Turtle wearing a purple mask (Donatello) working on an electric device 
off to the side.>

Michaelangelo: So what exactly are you trying to do Leo?
Leonardo: It's an excercise in mental and physical dicipline.
Michaelangelo: With three cement blocks....
Leonardo: Yep
Michaelangelo: This I gotta see.
Leonardo: Watch and learn.

<Sparks fly from the direction of Donatello.>

Donatello: Ya, iiu, yikes, wrong wire...
Michaelangelo: You're going to bust your noggin Leo.
Leonardo: No Mikey, I'm going to break the bricks.
Michaelangelo: Hey Donnie, come watch Leo turn his noodle into strudle!
Leonardo: You don't break the bricks with your head, you break the bricks with your will! 
          Breaking the bricks is about focus and making a precise strike!

<More sparks from Donatello's direction. Now some equipment starts operating.>

Donatello: Wha la! Dudes, we are satillite positive!
Leonardo: gaaaaaa I can't concentrate if you're gonna keep blabbing and blowing stuff up!
Donatello: Man I'm good, hey guys! Come dig my turtle-fied Eye In The Sky.

<Michaelangelo walks over to Donatello. Leonardo abandons his cement blocks and walks over.>

Leonardo: Oh neat, Donatello's figured out how to tune in the Weather Channel.
Donatello: No bricks-for-brains, it's a tracking system. I've figured out a way to nab 
           satillite time. I tweaked our tracking program to read our body temperatures and 
           physical configurations. I've even colored coded it. Watch and be amazed.....

<Donatello activates the Eye In The Sky. Some dots show up on the computer screen.>

Michaelangelo: Aren't you a little old for connect-the-dots dude?
Donatello: The grid is showing our precise locations. I'm the purple blip, Leo's  the blue 
           blip, and you're the obnoxious orange blip. Let's see where Raph is....
Leonardo: Aaa who cares!

<Donatello pushes some buttons and a red dot appears on the screen. But the red dot seems to 
be moving around quite quickly.>

Michaelangelo: Hey, looks like Raph is taking up a little Square Dancing!
Donatello: He's fighting!
Leonardo: Raph could never get along with any of the other little blips. Does Splinter have 
          a blip too?
Donatello: Yes, a dignified yellow one.

<Donatello punches more buttons and a yellow dot appears on the screen. This dot seems to be 
moving in a straight line toward the red dot.>

Michaelangelo: Hey look at that blip go!
Leonardo: Why is the Master's blip hauling so fast?
Donatello: He seems to be running!
Leonardo: Location?!
Donatello: Around West 64th; southwest end of Central Park.
Leonardo: After we save Raph's life, remind me to kill him!

<The Turtles run from the lair and into their "garage". There is a Hummer there waiting for 
them. They all jump into the car and spead off toward Raphael's location. Meanwhile, Raphael 
is still fighing with the Foot in the warehouse. He seems to be having a difficult time when 
Splinter arrives. The Foot leave Raphael and try to take on Splinter, who takes out the 
entire group of Foot with a few hits. The Foot run off and Splinter begins to discuss 
Raphael's noisey motorcycle.>

Splinter: A ninja moves in silence! He is at one with the night! This thing is neither 
          silent, nor one with the night!

<Splinter hits the motorcycle with his staff *clang* >

Raphael: ack, Splinter!
Splinter: This battle did not have to be. If you had not been, what is the word...
Raphael: touling...
Splinter: ... touling around the streets, on this howling machine, like a tiger with a thorn 
          in it's paw! 

*clang*

<The other Turtles drive up and get out of the Hummer>

Raphael: Great.....
Leonardo: 'Just cant stay out of trouble, can you Raph?
Donatello: Man, looks like everyone went all ninja in here...
Splinter: You are all almost eightteen years of age. I fear the smarter and stronger you 
          will become, the more wild you will become as well.
Raphael: Well maybe we're tired of playing ninja.
Leonardo: Dont start Raph.
Splinter: The Foot is still an unpleasant fact of life. The Shredder is still our blood enemy. 
          It's foolish to invite violence. A ninja does not seak out confrontation.
Raphael: I refuse to cower in the sewers...
Michaelangelo: Cowering in the sewers!
Splinter: I know, and you should not. Now go, quietly! I have a rook in great  need of my 
          protection.
Michaelangelo: Well, anyone up for pizza?
Turtles: Grow up!

<Now we turn our attention to an abandoned building, where the Shredder hides out. He 
addresses his army and two of his Foot Soldier commanders, who have just returned from the 
battle with Raphael and Splinter.>

Shredder: So let me see if I understand correctly. All of you were defeated by a single 
          turtle, and an arthraic rat?
Foot Soldier1: But the rat had a stick....
Shredder: A stick?! And what did the turtle have, a pink flower!?

<Shredder picks up the Foot Soldier and throws him back onto the ground.>

Shredder: Ha ha ha ha... tell me, why has my family not extended it's black  claws beyond 
          the borders of this city? Why do we continue to fall short of our glorious goals? 
          Who are my enemies?
Foot Soldier2: The Twoitles?

<Shredder picks up the Foot Soldier commander>

Shredder: Well right now you and these pathetic warriors you've trained seem to be standing 
          between me and my destiny.
Foot Soldier2: uh uuuh..... what do you want me to say master.... Shredder.... Sir! .. sorry..?

<Shredder throws the Foot Soldier commander down>

Shredder: If we are to continue to expand, then the green menace must be crushed. Now go, 
          prove yourselves! Destroy the Freaks!

<The Foot Soldiers scurry away. The Shredder turns away and mumbles to himself "but the rat 
had a stick!". The scene turns back to the Turtle's Lair, where Splinter has begun to 
meditate. He transports his mind into the Realm of Dreams, a mysterious place where great 
thinkers conjurgate. Splinter is meditating in the Realm when a vision of Chung I appears.>

Splinter: Chung I, are you dreamwalking as well my friend.
Chung I: I am not here to meditate. You must leave the Realms of Dreams immediatly! It's not 
         safe!
Splinter: But Chung I, the Realm of Dreams is a spiritual refuge.
Chung I: Master Splinter, please! You must go! The Realm of Dreams is becoming  unstable!

<Raphael's voice is heard calling for Splinter>

Chung I: Go, your pupil is calling you.
Splinter: But Chung I... I.. dont understand...
Chung I: Go now! Dragons are coming!

<Splinter returns his mind to his body. Raphael is there waiting for him with a look of 
concern on his face.>

Raphael: So... like.. you're mad at me right?
Splinter: No, you're the one so full of anger. A ninja must...
Raphael: A ninja must seek his own destiny!
Splinter: Our burdon is unique in the world. Ninja dicipline provides us with focus and 
          purpose. Without it, we would mearly be directionless..
Raphael: Mutants!

<Raphael walks off>

Raphael: Sewer Freaks!

<Splinter sighs. Back in China, the enchanted glass is rippling and unstable. Chung I 
continues to keep an eye on the glass, while Mei Pei Chi runs around the room.>

MeiPeiChi: I am frightened Chung I. What is happening?
Chung I: As my adopted daughter and apprentace, the time has come for you to understand the 
         mysteries of the glass. Thousands of years ago, before recorded history, the world 
         was the domain of Dragons. The magic users, who are my acendants, imprisoned them 
         here.
MeiPeiChi: In this enchanted glass?
Chung I: Yes. But something has gone wrong. The Dragons have found their way through my mind 
         and into the universal Realm of Dreams.
MeiPeiChi: What do they want?
Chung I: To take back the world....

<Back in New York, Michaelangelo is getting ready to try out his new Sewer Rocket in the 
sewers, a gocart with and enhanced motor and special handbrakes. He puts on his safety helmet 
and off he goes! Michaelangelo is unaware of the fact that a lonely Foot Soldier is watching 
him from afar. The Foot Soldier radio's back to the Shredder's base where he saw Michaelangelo 
and guesses that he can follow Michaelangelo back to the sewer lair. Shredder is pleased with 
this information and calls out for his Foot Army to attack. While Michaelangelo scoots 
around the sewer in his high powered gocart, Leonardo is still trying to break the stack of 
cement blocks with his head. Raphael and Donatello watch.>

Leonardo: aah.... ahhh..
Raphael: Before you break your head against the bricks, tell me if I'm in your  Will.
Leonardo: Ya I'm leaving you my self dicipline!
Raphael: Yea, wonder how much you can sell that for?

<Donatello and Raphael chuckle, but unknown to them Michaelangelo's gocart looses it's 
ability to apply the breakes, causing Michaelangelo to drive through the sewers at a high 
speed and with no way of stopping himself. At the same time Leonardo tries to break the 
bricks with his head, Michaelangelo comes crashing through the wall of the Sewer Lair, 
interrupting Leonoardo's concentration. Instead of breaking the bricks, Leonardo just ends 
up hitting his head and falling over onto the floor.>

Donatello: Hey, that's not a bad place for a new door...
Raphael: Good thing you wore a brain bucket.
Michaelangelo: Oh yea, sewer surfing is all about safety.
Raphael: He he he he..... you're a menace Mikey.

<While Donatello thinks of new ways to enchance the Sewer Rockett, Michaelangelo then 
notices Leonardo moaning in pain on the ground.>

Michaelangelo: I crash and his head hurts?

<Splinter meanwhile is gaining access to the Realm of Dreams again. Instead of the usual 
peacful schenery, the Realm of Dreams is in a chaotic state. Splinter is puzzled as to the 
recent change to the enviroment.>

Splinter: What is happening here?!
Voice: Welcome Ninja Master....
Splinter: This Realm is reserved for the dreams of the elightened. Identify yourself!
Voice: I fear your dream is about to become a nightmare, Ninja Master....

<The Voice laughs and Splinter is surrounded by a firery barrier and vanishes. Chung I 
watches from the other side of the enchanted mirror.>

Chung I: Dragons! I am Chung I, master of the Internal Arts. I demand you, release the Ninja 
         master. Respond! I command it!

<A lizard like face emerges from the Enchanted glass to address Chung I's demands.>

Voice: Your services are no longer required Magician. Soon we will use the dreams of man to 
       gain entry into the world of man.
Chung I: No!
Voice: oooh yeees....

<The face bellows fire at Chung I, hitting him hard and knocking Chung I on his back. He 
struggles to get up but can not.>

Chung I: There will be another.. to defeat you..
Voice: Marvelous, send your pretty daughter.

<Back in New York, Raphael returns to the Sewer Lair from a late night ride on his 
motorcycle. Unknown to him, the Foot Soldiers have followed him home.>

Raphael: hey.. yo dudes, what's the haps?

<The other Turtles notice the swarm of Foot Soldiers entering the lair behind Raphael.>

Raphael: What, is it my breath?
Michaelangelo: The next time you decide to invite company,  phone first!

<Raphael then turns around and notices the Foot Soldiers entering the Sewer Lair. The 
Turtles fight the Foot, using various items like a vacuum cleaner, a table, and their 
telephone. Eventually the Foot Soldiers are forced to retreat back into the sewers. The 
Turtles hop around and celebrate their victory, but then Michaelangelo goes to check on 
Splinter and finds him unresponsive and moaning as though he is sick.>

Michaelangelo: Come quick, someting's wrong with Splinter!

<The other Turtles run toward Michaelangelo and check on Splinter.>

Donatello: What?
Leonardo: What??
Raphael: Huh?
Leonardo: We gotta do something!

<Back in China, Chung I is still suffering from the fireblast from the face in the mirror. 
MeiPeiChi tries to confort him, but it is obvious Chung I wont last for much longer.>

Chung I: There isnt much time... you must go to New York... to Splinter's home....  you are 
         his only...  hope.... 

<Chung I passes away. MeiPeiChi removes her hood and reveals herself to be a large green 
turtle!>

MeiPeiChi: Yes Chung I, I will do as you say. I will go to America.
