(__) (**) Ushi No Tane /-------\/ Harvest Moon News / | || Issue 44 * ||----|| www.fogu.com/hm/ ~~ ~~ February 24, 2005 Mr.Kyledove sent me an email with scans of the latest Harvest Moon games for GC and DS ;) I found the scans off of another site, then discovered Kyle had already sent me and email with links to them. I guess I should check my email first thing in the morning, heh. The scans come from the latest issue of Nintendo DREAM (not Famitsu as some sites are saying). Shiawaze No Uta (Songs/Poems of Happiness) Page 57 - http://www.fogu.com/hm6/img/poh/050224_nintendodream1.jpg The story of the game revolves around the Harvest Goddess. She has been mysteriously turned to stone and it's up to you to find the Happiness Tones (special music notes) to turn her back to normal. Your Rival has the same idea of course. The Tones are then given to the Sprites, who turn them into musical instruments. Seems more like it should be Songs and not Poems, eigh? ;) Page 58 - http://www.fogu.com/hm6/img/poh/050224_nintendodream2.jpg When you start the game you can choose from 3 different farm houses. One house is in the village area, one is at the beach, and the third is next to the river. You can arrange the furniture in any pattern you want. You also don't start with the Animal Barn, so your livestock roam free. One bag of seed will plant 9 crops (just like in FoMT). Page 59 - http://www.fogu.com/hm6/img/poh/050224_nintendodream3.jpg Some of the people living in Flower Bud Village ;) There's Mayor Teodol and his daughter Maria, the Farming Store owner (I'm guessing Animals) Hans and his daughter Ellen, the seed sellers Nina and Liz, Doctor Azuma, the builder Woody and his helpers Joe and Kurt, the new guy Blue, and a wandering fisherman named Leif. You will also experience events as you raise your friendship with the residents, just like in the previous versions of Harvest Moon. The Rival's name is Reon. Korobokkuru Suteshion (Sprite Station) Page 32 - http://www.fogu.com/hm6/img/050224_nintendodream4.jpg The story for Sprite Station is similar to the Gamecube game. The Witch Goddess (Majyosama) and the Harvest Goddess (Megamisama) are good friends until one day one of Majyosama's spells go awry and turns the Harvest Goddess into stone. To save the Goddess, Majyosama had to send the Sprites and the stone Goddess to another world (Shiawaze No Uta perhaps?). Page 33 - http://www.fogu.com/hm6/img/050224_nintendodream5.jpg You have to use Medals to hire the Sprites to do work. You can also play mini games (ie. Poker) if you earn Coins. There are some images of new characters (Flora, Carter, Stary, Hugh, Takakura, etc.), and you also have a new item called the Touch Panel Glove. mmmm, sounds yummy!
