(__) (69) Ushi No Tane /-------\/ Harvest Moon News / | || Issue 43 * ||----|| www.fogu.com/hm/ ~~ ~~ January 21, 2005 A member of a forum I visit received his latest copy of Nintendo DREAM magazine and found several articles about upcoming games, including Sprite Station and Poems of Happiness. He was nice enough to scan them for all to see ^^ The first page is for Sprite Station: http://www.fogu.com/hm6/img/050121_nintendodream1.jpg This page details the channels that are available to view via the Sprite's "station". There are 9 channels in all. - Channel 1 -- Weather Report: find out the next day's weather conditions. - Channel 2 -- Farm operation updates: what's going on right now on your farm? - Channel 3 -- Sprite information: The current status of your little helpers. - Channel 4 -- Animal information: Which animals are in the barn and what are out in the field. - Channel 5 -- Music: change your background music, just like a Record Player in AWL and FoMT. - Channel 6 -- News: Upcoming events that are occurring in Forget-Me-Not Valley. Duck festival confirmed! - Channel 7 -- Mystery Channel: ooh it's a mystery! - Channel 8 -- Tutorial: How to do things in the game. - Channel 9 -- Quiz: Win prizes by answering the questions correctly! Page 2, the bachelorettes of the game ;) Remember, this game is 100 years *after* AWL. The descendants of the original inhabitants now live in the valley. http://www.fogu.com/hm6/img/050121_nintendodream2.jpg - Aafi (Ann) - Arisa (Popuri) - Erisu (Elli) - Kaarii (Karen) - Reona (Lumina) - the Harvest Goddess - the Demon Goddess You can also play BlackJack with Dealer Sprite. Page 3, Poems of Happiness. http://www.fogu.com/hm6/img/poh/050121_nintendodream3.jpg You can still plant crops anywhere in the "world", and the scan has a map of what the land area looks like. There will be books and letters stored in your house (just like the bookshelf in FoMT). There is also a Pedometer that measures your footsteps, and a cave to explore (more mining...). The Pig and the Dog will follow you around and there's also a dolphin who lives in the sea. Page 4, Poems of Happiness http://www.fogu.com/hm6/img/poh/050121_nintendodream4.jpg The rival farmer. The cow-girl will also be shipping crops and competing in contests against you. You also have a friendship meter with the wild animals that live in the forest (monkey, weasel, tanuki, and even the dolphin), and a heart-based meter for the villagers. Now you can actually see how high your friendship is with somebody. Of course, you can also cook. The game has several mini games: a Counting game, Hill Climb, a game where you take over as much land as possible, and a swimming contest. Until next time! - What do you call six ducks in a crate? -- A box of Quackers! *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* POLL QUESTION Last issue's results: Q: Would you like to have M.Town and F.Valley in the same game? 62.5% = Karen AND Nami... oh yea... 12.5% = I don't want to walk that far! 12.5% = Maybe, if I can get a Chihuahua. 12.5% = Swiss Cheese has holes in it.
