(__) (-@) Ushi No Tane /-------\/ Harvest Moon News / | || Issue 42 * ||----|| www.fogu.com/hm/ ~~ ~~ January 07, 2005 The ever-vigilant Terranigma Freak (the individual responsible for my interest in HM) noticed today that the website http://www.jeux-france.com has some new scans up from the recent edition of Famitsu Weekly. Jeux-France found 5 new images of Harvest Moon DS and placed them on their website. How nice of them! A few of the screen shots show the full map of the Forget-Me-Not Valley, displayed in the lower screen of the DS. Romana's Mansion is still there, along with the Blue Bar, Besta's farm, Daryll's house, and a few others you have seen if you've played AWL. There's a couple of new buildings on the beach too, as well as the path that leads back to Mineral Town, which you could never walk up in the Gamecube version. Perhaps you can now? Hmmm.... Map -> http://www.fogu.com/hm6/img/050107a_famitsu.jpg Map -> http://www.fogu.com/hm6/img/050107b_famitsu.jpg In the lower screen it appears as though you can zoom-in on a map area that you want to see close up. The lower map is sectioned off like a grid, and there's even a screen shot of a zoomed-in image of Romana's mansion area and the Fireworker's house. Mansion -> http://www.fogu.com/hm6/img/050107c_famitsu.jpg K & P's house -> http://www.fogu.com/hm6/img/050107f_famitsu.jpg Another screen shot is the same Popuri one that we've seen before, but since Sprite Station is situated 100 years after AWL it's obviously not *the* Popuri we all know. Now that we have a clear screen shot, we can see that Popuri's descendants's name as "Arisa". That could translate out into English as Alisa or maybe even Alice. P's Grandchild -> http://www.fogu.com/hm6/img/050107d_famitsu.jpg Mayor Thomas' descendant is still named the same. I guess there'll be a Mayor Thomas no matter what!
