He still sits in Doug's Inn on Wednesdays, waiting for you to come buy things from him. So far I've purchased the Record Player and the first Record (snes spring theme) from him. In FoMT for Girl you will occasionally receive in your mailbox a letter of congratulations. Attached to the letter is a "Van's favorite thing", which looks like a bottle of wine. You can sell those to Won or keep them stashed in your cupboard. Or you can give them to Van when he arrives in your game after connecting to AWL for Girl ;) When you give Van one of his "favorite things", he will give you a special deal on an item he has. These items are *very* expensive! I have only given Van one bottle of his Favorite Thing and he offered to sell me a special record for the record player. This record was a whopping 1 million G! The special record from Van can be placed on the record player and is a sound test that contains ALL music from the records AND from FoMT. Thirty-seven records in one! When you first place Van's record on the player, you have to select which page you want to view and then which song you want to hear. Page 1 - Opening theme, Title, stop the music, or close the sound test Page 2 - Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter Page 3 - Rain sound, Typhoon sound, Village theme, Beach sounds Page 4 - Night sounds , Dead Animal, Heart Event, Rival Event Page 5 - Festival v1, Music Festival opening, Festival v2, Music Festival Page 6 - Marriage song, Mini Game, Sprite's Hut, Record 1 (snes) Page 7 - Record 2 (snes), Record 3 (n64), Record 4 (n64), Record 5 (btn) Page 8 - Record 6 (btn), Record 7 (sth), Record 8 (sth), Record 9 (awl) Page 9 - Record 10 (awl), New Record 1 (?), New Record 2 (sth), New Record 3 (?) Page 10 - New Record 4 (awl), New Record 5 (awl), Ending theme. New Record 1 through 5 can be acquired from Won's Apple Game in FoMT For Girl. New Record 2 is the "love" theme from STH, New Record 4 is the "ending" theme from AWL (sounds *very* Castlevania-like), and New Record 5 is the "poet" song that plays when you're inside Gustafa's tent. Unfortunately there's no way to make the music you select play permanently on the player. The only way to get out of the sound test is to select the "close" option, which ends the sound test music. If you leave the Sound Test record on the player you'll hear no music while wandering your farm. Van has about 5 other Special items for sale (a book containing all the letters, a quiz book, etc.). If you give him one of his Favorite Things when he doesn't have a special item for sale, he'll offer to let you buy back the Favorite Thing for 100,000 G. How nice of him!
