I've married him; I love challenges.

I haven't and will probably never marry him. He wouldn't be worth the effort... He wouldn't be home, and a thing I like about bachelor/ettes, are that they stay home. His personality is also not very according to my tastes and... Well, I don't like his looks too. That's just my opinion, though.

That's right. He's not really worth it, but I always try to mary the hardest bachelor/bacheorette. And I wanted to see the wedding with him. I haven't found any video about this, so I had to marry him myself.

still it would be neat if they had the option of divorce. at least then you dont have to start your game over when you get borred of one guy  it was kind of fun to get all their hearts to red on the same file though

My friend wanted me to do all the goals for her and marry him on her game for her so I did it for her. It was a fun challenge and I didn't even need to do it on my own HM. Apparently, she loves Kappa and says he's all worth it in the end o.o

I married Cliff and Gray
Although if I were to marry only one, I'd marry Cliff ^_^

I would never marry kappa for a single reason. If we had a child, will she have powers like the girl in "the ring"?

In the original japanese film ("ringu"), they explain she is the offspring of the woman in the video, and a kappa from the sea.

Or maybe our child will be green, that would be funny

it would be amazing to have a kid with sadako powers. i'd marry the kappa just for that.

though, i don't remember that in the book. i think she just had mad haxxorz psychic powers.

it would still be awesome to have a HM daughter with mad haxxorz psychic powers, especially since sadako is awesome enough to reduce all genetic diversity on simulated earth down to just one computer virus that is a fusion of her coding genetic material, smallpox, and seething hatred for simulated mankind.

...not that any of it matters, since by the third book, we learn that the first two books took place entirely within a computer simulation, haha. hey, those books were somewhat decent... the movies, not so much.

anyway~
i haven't married the kappa/goddess. i totally would, but i don't think i could bring myself to play for 5 years. even if i could, it's too much grinding. i like challenges, and i don't think it's "not worth it" or whatever (really, is that little blob of pixels spouting the same dull lines over and over walking around your table every day for eternity -really- that important or interesting?), i just find it way too tedious. i'll probably end up marrying the goddess in my current FoMT file, if i marry at all and if i get that far, since all the characters in that game are equally boring to me and it would be nice to have the bragging rights.

though, i'd be more inclined to marry the kappa in MFoMT simply because he's adorably tsundere. i don't even like tsunderes, and i find him adorable!

Sadako's mother actually had an affair with a « Harvest Goddess » who lived in the sea. Thus Sadako was born, however he was not the nicest « Harvest Goddess » and thus some taint of evil was imbued within the child. The good(human) and bad(supernatural) Sadako was split in half(like literally became two entities) and the good one destroyed.

Side notes: Sadako has testicles; this is how she gets her name "Chaste Child"; She cannot reproduce because of being hermaphroditic. Sadako was raped by her uncle then thrown down the well. Her curse is a virus that creates a cancer type thing that blocks passageways in a person so they sufficate and die; the person is embued with her DNA, 3/4 of the "cancer" is it; the person also sees themself as super old in any reflective surface and thus creating fear(this happens when they actually die). "Sharing" Sadako's message is not limited to copying the video tape, in Ringu a man was saved just by jesting that people watch it in the campground's guestbook. Sadako's mom was a legit psychic; most of the Ringu series deals with actual scientific psychic powers instead of ghosts and demons. The original video tape was embedded while a a guest tried to tape a football game but Sadako used this chance to intervene. The original video had instructions at the end telling the viewer to show the tape to others but the results of why you should do it was taped over for fun but later they learned they should have taken it seriously.

@Lady Nina: Loop shows that the simulation is giving a warning. Ryuji is actually psychic as well and he is the one who has a huge connection with the story. The original video tape shows a die rolling and hitting an array of numbers. Actual world Ryuji calls this number and the scene where Sadako comes out of the TV is when Asakawa answers the phone and hears Ryuji on the other line. Strange yes? Read the books and you'll go OMFG THAT MAKES SENSE NOW WOWWWW. Also, this happening allows Sadako to come into the real world and thus spurs the course of events of which Sadako takes over the world... media, commerce, everything. Loop ends in a cliff-hanger with the main character going out to try to stop her.

PS: I am a serious fan of the Ringu series. I tried to avoid spoilers but you could just always read Ring, Spiral and Loop in their English translation counterparts.
Create a new thread or take it to chat/PMs if you wanna discuss/learn more about the strange stuff Koji Suzuki wrote up.

ON TOPIC:
I would never waste my time marrying people for the challenge. I am too OCD about HM as it is... -.-;;

Ok, that´s a lot of new info I didn´t know. When I watched the movie, for some reason I understood that it was a kappa kind of creature the father of the girl. Then in the review and plot descriptions he is refered as "some oceanic based entity". I guess I should get started with the books, it sounds very interesting.

Oh, yeah, so, I wouldn´t marry the kappa (or harvest godess, or king) in any HM game, since they take a lot more effort, and don´t even live with you.

lol

i last read them when i was like, 14. it's been a while!

i remember about her being a hermaphrodite and most of that stuff, but some of the details are fuzzy, haha. i've read a lot of things since then and kind of pushed them out of my mind!

i still don't see the big deal with the spouses not living with you. i don't see how that makes anything any better with the "normal" ones, especially since so many people get bored after marriage, anyway!

The movies change a lot of details to make it more horror movie-like. The main character is originally a male and one of my favorite parts of the book is when all hope is lost and he calls his wife just to hear her voice one last time. xP
