Post subject: Can't trigger Vaughn's Blue Heart event.

My friend is having trouble seeing the event; she has all the requirements, and I can't seem to help her out.
She said that she did the Purple Heart event so that it would lead her to Blue Heart event #1.
This is what she said that she did:
-It's a Wednesday, sunny.
-Gets up and does farm work; feed cows, feed chickens and collects eggs, water plants, pet any animal that needs petting, feeds dog.
-Leaves farm and walk down W. Town until in front of beach
-Wait until clock says '9:00 AM' then enters beach.
After that, nothing happens.
Any ideas?

What did your friend answer on the Purple Heart Event? If she answered, "I don't get your attitude," then it would lead her to Blue Heart Event #2. If she answered, "I'll look for it with you," then it would move her to Blue Heart Event #1.
If not, tell your friend to try giving him more gifts to raise his FP so that the event could trigger. Also, what was the weather?
