After you have shipped your 1000th item, Takakura will greet you at your farmhouse door and deliver a horse. The horse will be full grown and it already has it's saddlebags attached. You can then name the horse, and let it run around your farm.
The horse is good trasportation if you don't already own the Teleport Necklace. You can ride your horse outside your farm and it's obviously faster than walking everywhere. The horse is also a traveling shipping big. You only have to toss items at it (press A while holding an item) and the item will be sent to the shipping bin automatically.
Fortunatly Weeds, Branches, Stones, and other garbage do count towards the 1000 item goal. Ship all the weeds you can!
