MAQL Name Change and New Comic | Posted at 12:57 PM 05 July 2014
There still isn't much news to report on in the Harvest Moon frontier at the moment. Neither Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley nor Story of Seasons have set release dates yet, so those involved with their development are still toiling away at their projects. From Japan, on July 1st Marvelous AQL has completed their name conversion they announced earlier this year. Now instead of Marvelous AQL, the company is simply known as Marvelous. The North American group is still Marvelous USA, so no changes there. The new logo for the company is: In the August edition of Nintendo DREAM, the magazine lists Tsunagaru Shin Tenchi as having sold over 222,000 copies since its release. The game's producer, Yoshifumi Hashimoto, even mentioned that he wants to let everyone know that the overseas version of the game is going to be called "STORY OF SEASONS" (in all caps, too!). Nintendo Life also has an interview with Hashimoto-san about the localization of Story of Seasons. In general: The StreetPass feature in Story of Seasons isn't terribly exciting anyway, so you're not really missing much if it isn't in the North Amercian localization of the game. The only person I've ever StreetPassed was the representative at XSeed's booth during E3. The 3DS version of Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns has StreetPass, but a StreetPass hit happens so rarely that it may not be worth the localization effort in Story of Seasons to include it. In Tsunagaru Shin Tenchi, all the StreetPass does is gets you the passee's farmer wandering around Oak Tree Town, and you can then walk up to the person and see their farm statistics. The wifi feature will be there though, which allows you to trade items and increase the Star Rank of the hosting farmer's crops and lowers the stress of the farmer's animals.
